Aristocrat Leisure Reports Soaring Revenue and Profit in Half-Year Results

Australian gaming powerhouse, Aristocrat Leisure, unveiled a dramatic revenue surge for the half-year concluding March 31st. The company amassed a staggering AU$1 billion, equivalent to approximately £490 million, marking a 47% leap from the corresponding period the previous year.

Post-tax profit experienced an even more impressive 66% escalation, reaching AU$183.2 million. This remarkable expansion stemmed from a commanding presence in their primary markets, North America and Australia, where the company witnessed gains in market penetration, average transaction values, and player expenditure per day. Their digital social gaming division also delivered an exceptional performance, attaining unprecedented daily user figures.

Furthermore, the organization successfully diminished its net debt considerably, lowering it from AU$1.48 billion to AU$1.23 billion.

Chief Executive Jamie Odell conveyed his contentment with the company’s tenth successive quarter of profit expansion, indicating his anticipation of comparable results in the latter half of the financial year.

Curiously, notwithstanding the favorable developments, Aristocrat’s share price on the Australian Securities Exchange remained largely unaffected.
