The Betsson Group has completed the transformation of its Brazilian wagering platform, Suaposta, into Betsson, signifying the culmination of a brand overhaul.
Betsson’s purchase of a 75% share in Suaposta’s equestrian betting operations last December indicated their serious ambitions for the Brazilian market. Suaposta, formerly a division of Codere SA, focuses on digital wagering for Brazilian horse racing.
This rebranding initiative entailed merging Betsson’s system and setting up local client assistance, all executed in collaboration with the Jockey Club of Rio Grande do Sul.
André Gelfi, creator of Suaposta and current Chief Executive of Betsson Brazil, conveyed his excitement: “We are delighted to unveil our updated platform and cement the Betsson brand in Brazil.” He highlighted a dedication to openness throughout the procedure, guaranteeing a seamless shift for the current clientele.
It’s notable that Betsson prospered even amidst the difficult conditions of the COVID-19 outbreak. Their earnings for the second quarter of 2020 hit SEK 1.53 billion (roughly US$170.8 million), demonstrating a 20% rise year-over-year.
