888 Holdings anticipates completing its purchase of William Hill by June 30th, 2022, after receiving overwhelming support from its investors.
The agreement, in which 888 will acquire William Hill’s continental business, was almost unanimously authorized at a recent shareholder gathering. This resounding backing concludes a nine-month process that began in September 2021 when 888 outbid competitors with a £2.2 billion (or $2.7 billion) offer.
The acquisition is scheduled to be finalized by the end of the following month, with only a few weeks left. This will be a watershed moment for 888, as its whole share capital will be reinstated to the premium listing category of the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) Official List, as well as trading on the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market.
