Americas Cardroom is holding a unique poker event on International Women’s Day to aid the battle against breast cancer.
The competition, occurring on Wednesday, March 8th, will support the United States-based National Breast Cancer Foundation. This organization delivers vital assistance programs such as monetary aid, help for families with kids, and access to diagnostic procedures and reconstructive surgery.
The game begins at 4:30 PM EST with an entry fee of $55. There’s a promised prize fund of $10,000, and Americas Cardroom will equal the total prize fund with an extra contribution to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Furthermore, to motivate even more participants to join the effort, every person who registers will get a $55 tournament entry for a later event – essentially making this charitable event free to participate in!
To increase knowledge, Americas Cardroom Team Pros Katie Lindsay and Ebony Kenney will collaborate with poker figures Nicky Lomo and Caitlin Comeskey on the ACR Twitch channel during the event. They’ll be talking about the significance of breast self-checks and demonstrating to viewers how to conduct them at home.
This marks the second consecutive year that Americas Cardroom has devoted a charitable tournament to International Women’s Day. The previous year’s event generated over $15,000!
The ACR Women’s Day celebration from the previous year was incredibly enjoyable,” remarked Ebony Kenney, a professional poker player affiliated with ACR. “Being involved again this year fills me with excitement.” She emphasized that having the opportunity to engage in card games with companions while simultaneously contributing to a worthy initiative is the ultimate win-win situation. Kenney further expressed her pride in participating in this constructive and influential force within women’s poker.
