BetComply, a firm specializing in regulatory solutions, has introduced a novel product in the Dutch market known as ComplyCheck. This instrument aims to assist licensed gaming entities in ensuring adherence to all regulations stipulated by the Netherlands Gaming Authority (KSA).
ComplyCheck functions as an internal audit mechanism. Operators respond to a set of inquiries and furnish documentation to demonstrate their fulfillment of requirements. Subsequently, BetComply’s specialists examine the provided materials.
Following the review of an operator’s submissions, BetComply generates a comprehensive assessment. This report identifies any aspects where the operator might be deficient and provides recommendations on maintaining compliance, particularly in light of evolving regulations.
This holds significant importance as the KSA has intensified its scrutiny of operators. Recently, they imposed a substantial penalty on Gammix Limited for operating without authorization. They have also emphasized the need for licensed operators to exercise heightened diligence regarding responsible gaming practices.
Mike de Graaff, BetComply’s Chief Compliance Officer, stressed the KSA’s commitment to enforcement. He underscored how ComplyCheck can empower operators to mitigate such risks and confidently sustain compliance without incurring excessive costs.
## A recent analysis from sports analytics firm, Sportradar, revealed a concerning trend of potential match manipulation. The report indicates that 2023 witnessed a significant rise in questionable wagering patterns, casting considerable doubt on the fairness and legitimacy of international athletic competitions.
