Betsson Appoints Triston Smook to Head Partner Marketing Amidst Record-Breaking Growth

Betsson Group has designated seasoned professional Triston Smook to lead its partner marketing department. Smook contributes almost twenty years of expertise to the position, having formerly collaborated with Betsson in a business expansion role.

In his latest capacity, Smook will oversee acquiring new clients for Betsson’s remarkable collection of over 20 brands. He will also be charged with upholding robust connections with Betsson’s network of affiliate associates.

Smook’s selection comes after a record-setting period for Betsson. The organization recently declared earnings surpassing €200 million, fueled by substantial expansion in its sports wagering sector. Betsson also documented a 7% rise in active subscribers, exceeding 1 million patrons.

Pontus Lindwall, Chief Executive Officer of Betsson AB, conveyed assurance in Smook’s aptitude to leverage the company’s impetus, remarking, “We observed sustained favorable patterns in the third quarter, with elevated growth and profitability for the Group overall.”

Betsson obliterated its income and operational earnings benchmarks, fueled by an exceptional showing from both their wagering and internet gaming segments. They’re increasing their focus on sports wagering as well – they recently acquired an 80% stake in KickerTech to enhance their platform for other companies. This acquisition, concluded via a Betsson subsidiary, set them back €14 million and grants them controlling interest from the former owner, TG Holdings Limited.
