Caroline Ackroyd Assumes the Position of XLMedia’s Top Financial Executive<\/p>\n
After the first announcement on November 2, 2021, Caroline Ackroyd has formally stepped into the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at digital media leader XLMedia.<\/p>\n
A seasoned financial professional, Ackroyd takes the reins from Rowan Ellis, who has been acting as interim CFO since Iain Balchin’s exit last July. Ellis, whose previous role was as an advisor within the finance team, will return to those duties and “provide support for a seamless handover.”<\/p>\n
In her capacity as CFO, Ackroyd also gains a position on XLMedia’s board of directors, collaborating with CEO Stuart Simms and non-executive directors Julie Markey, Richard Rosenberg, Jonas Martensson, Ory Weihs, and C\u00e9dric Boivard.<\/p>\n
“I am thrilled to join XLMedia and eager to collaborate with the team to expand upon the solid foundation already in place and achieve the next exciting chapter of growth,” Ackroyd stated when her appointment was initially announced last November.<\/p>\n
Before joining XLMedia, she held the CFO position at Sheffield-based media firm Jaywing starting in 2020. Prior to that, Ackroyd served as CFO for the video consultation company Push Doctor.<\/p>\n
Ackroyd’s substantial background at Sky Betting & Gaming, where she was Commercial Finance Director from 2015 to 2018, will be highly beneficial in her new position. Her experience with the company extends even further back, having held the role of Deputy Head of Finance from 2006 to 2011. <\/p>\n
For a period exceeding twenty-four months, Acrioyd occupied the role of Financial Head at Coral.<\/p>\n
“Caroline’s considerable background as a Chief Financial Officer makes her a significant asset to XLMedia’s executive group and Board of Directors,” stated Sims during her hiring in November. <\/p>\n
